On Dec 3, 2014 University of Texas at Austin released startling news: 100 brains disappeared from its unique collection of organs, which was assembled since the 1950s and included the brain of Charles Whitman (the "Texas sniper" was responsible in 1966 for one of the deadliest campus shootings in the U.S. history). On the same day, other brain-related breaking news came from Harvard: several dozen valuable brains were lost to science after a freezer malfunction. What happened to the American brains?
