An interview with Marat Shemiunov - Mihailovski Ballet (in Russian)

The Mikhailovsky Ballet is just as much a cultural institution as The Mariinsky or The Bolshoi. The Mikhailovsky Theater made its New York debut in November of 2014 - during its 182nd (!) season. Marat Shemiunov is a Principal Dancer with The Mikhailovsky - and also happens to be an inspired visual artist. In this interview we talk about what art is - and isn't, what's hiding under his leopard-print suit in which he showed up for the interview, and what really matters for this ballet dad of a 2 year old who has been to more countries than most adults I know.
