Summary

My professional background is in traditional journalism (I graduated from Columbia Journalism School with a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism) – but I also love to report on the human experience. My specialty is cultural journalism and the art of the interview: I truly enjoy interviewing people of all kinds. I find that each person has a fascinating - and an inspiring - story to tell, and I love sharing these stories with my audience.

I love to travel and recently hosted 46 Emmy-winning NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC daily features on Russian culture that aired on Fox Sports and FS1. This coverage was done as part of NatGeo’s partnership with Fox Sports for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. You can see the features here.

I have worked for two years as a News Anchor at NTV America (leading Russian TV channel based in New York and broadcasting nationally in the U.S.). I currently continue to work at NTV America as an interview show host and also freelance as an independent on-air reporter - I have produced stories for Ren-TV (a leading Moscow-based Russian TV channel), Voice of Russia, and other international TV networks.

I am passionate about theater. I am actively involved as an actor in the New York-based "Dialogue" Literary Theater, which produces plays based on Russian literature and the lives of Russia's leading literary figures. I have also acted in various independent productions.

I am passionate about music. I have played jazz piano since I was five, performed for 10 years as a pianist in New York and have composed jazz and electronic music pieces for modern dance.

I am a professional voiceover artist (English, Russian, accents) with over 15+ years of experience.

I am an enthusiastic show host - I have hosted programs at Lincoln Center, NY City Center, Beacon Theater, and Consulates of Russian Federation in NYC and Washington, D.C. I have also hosted the Awards at Youth America Grand Prix international student ballet competitions worldwide for the past 20 years.

Also, I am a professional Russian-English translator. My translations of Sam Shepard's "Curse of the Starving Class" and "Ages of the Moon," Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot," and Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "The Idiot" have been published and produced in Russia and in the U.S.
